The electric car will maintain the same level of luxury and comfort that current Range Rover models are known for, while being built on the same longitudinal wheelbase used in fossil fuel-powered versions. The performance of this electric vehicle is expected to be similar to that of a Range Rover equipped with a V-8 engine.
The 2025 Range Rover Electric will use a new all-electric propulsion system and an all-new chassis. The electric model will be based on the long-wheelbase version, which should allow for three rows of seating as in the petrol-powered Range Rover model on sale today. The multi-link suspension arrangement reduces the space required for wheel travel resulting in additional space to accommodate the electric vehicle's battery and rear steering system.
The new car will contain an 800-volt electrical system to speed up the charging process, and the car is expected to have exceptional off-road capabilities thanks to its powerful features and its ability to submerge to a depth of 33.4 inches.
Prices for the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Electric are expected to start at approximately $120,000 and reach $160,000, depending on the trim and options selected.
