Volkswagen has unveiled the ID.3 GTX, its first high-performance electric hatchback that represents the pinnacle of the company's ID.3 lineup. The ID.3 GTX is available in two versions: standard and performance, with the latter offering an additional level of power.
Exterior design:
The ID.3 GTX features a unique front bumper designed specifically for the GTX, featuring a prominent air vent flanked by a new set of LED headlights with a distinctive boomerang-like design. On its sides, the GTX features 20-inch Skagen alloy wheels, which give the car a bold character. As for the rear bumper, it features a design that includes a clear diffuser that complements the overall performance character of the car.
Interior Design:
Inside the car, the cabin stands out with its luxurious sports seats decorated with red threads and GTX-specific details through digital displays. The GTX also features a large 12.9-inch touchscreen equipped with the ID.3 Series' ChatGPT technology, which Volkswagen promises to also provide for standard versions of the electric hatchback. Other cabin updates include a new drive mode selector switch which has now been moved to the steering column.
Specifications and performance:
Although the ID.3 GTX retains rear-wheel drive, it offers significantly more power than the standard version. In the regular version of the GTX, the electric motor on the rear axle generates 282 hp and 545 Nm of torque, while the GTX Performance version increases power to 322 hp without a change in torque.
Volkswagen has announced the car's ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds for the regular version of the GTX and 5.6 seconds for the Performance version, with a top speed of 180 km/h and 200 km/h, respectively.
The ID.3 GTX relies on a new 79-kilowatt-hour battery pack, and according to Volkswagen, the highest-performance version can travel up to 600 kilometers on a single charge. The battery supports fast charging with a capacity of up to 175 kW, which enables it to recharge from 10% to 80% in about 26 minutes.
Ok, bye!
